Mohamed A. Saad, M.D.
Mohamed A. Saad, M.D. is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. Before completing his Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center, Dr. Saad graduated with Highest Distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2011. He went on to complete a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
While in fellowship Dr. Saad served as a member of the team caring for the professional athletes of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons. He has extensive training in Arthroscopy of the Shoulder, Hip, Knee and Elbow. He also has advanced training in Shoulder and Knee replacements. Dr. Saad is equipped with the training in common surgical techniques as well as more novel and minimally invasive procedures. He brings with him the ability and understanding of the use of Ultrasound imaging for both diagnosis and treatment of common orthopaedic problems.
Dr. Saad chose to return to his hometown to, as he would say, “give back to the community that gave me everything”. Dr. Saad’s priority is to create individualized treatment plans for all patients using effective imaging and treatment modalities while involving professionals from all aspects of the medical arena such as primary care physicians, physical therapists, and athletic trainers among others.
Dr. Saad is a member of the Michigan Orthopaedic Society, The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The Arthroscopy Association of North America and The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
